Rhepanol PIB | Single Ply Roofing Membrane

Rhepanol PIB is made from polyisobutylene (PIB), a synthetic rubber, and is the only membrane currently available with a full Life Cycle Assessment that meets DIN EN ISO 14040 part ff, showing that it has no significant environmental impact at any time betweenits manufacturer and eventual disposal. Rhepanol PIB is available in two types:

About

Rhepanol fk is designed to be installed directly over bituminous roofs, can be mechanically fixed, bonded or ballasted and requires no ‘hot work’. It is easy to lay and join and can be fitted in most weather conditions making it an ideal labour saving system. Rhepanol fk is also used in new build applications.

Rhepanol hg was developed from Rhepanol fk to meet the specification requirements of green roofs. Rhepanol hg is designed to be hot-air welded to provide the strongest possible seam and is an ideal choice for waterproofing a landscaped roof. Rhepanol hg holds FLL certification.

About Single Ply Roofing Membranes

Single-ply roofing consists of an impervious membrane formed by laying and joining strong, flexible sheets to create a continuous waterproof barrier across the surface of a flat roof. The sheets are joined using either heat or are self-sealing and are retained by mechanical fixing, adhesives, ballast, green roofs or paving. The membrane is generally made from a synthetic polymer that has been formulated to resist weathering, chemical oxidation and UV radiation and to retain its physical properties over a wide range of temperatures.

FDT (FlachDach Technologie GmbH - ‘Flat Roof Technology’) is Europe’s leading single-ply roofing membrane manufacturer with manufacturing plants in Mannheim and Hemsbach in Germany. FDT launched Europe’s first single-ply roofing membrane 70 years ago, has since sold more than 200 million m² of membrane and produces Rhepanol, the world’s most advanced single-ply roofing membrane.

Single-ply membranes are available in a variety of materials.
